Garéma is a Swarovski CAFA nominated luxury accessory label founded in April 2015. Our products are carefully crafted from the highest quality materials and the designs are infused with inspiration spanning centuries, countries and traditions.

Every Garéma bag has a name and a story behind it. Designed in Canada & hand-made in India, Garéma bags have become a red carpet favourite all over the world in a short period of time.

These intricate designs have received quite a bit of attention from Canada's first lady Sophie Gregoire Trudeau to emmy award winning actress Taraji P Henson. Garéma bags have been spotted on popular American shows including Dynasty, Empire & Famous in Love.  

Each bag is hand crafted and takes over 3 to 4 weeks to make. Owning a Garéma bag is like owning a piece of history, culture & luxury in the palm of your hands. 

 

The Designer

Garima Tewari is an Indian-Canadian designer and founder of Garéma. Born in a traditional Indian business family, she had the drive to be an entrepreneur since childhood. She credits her parents & their modern upbringing that inspired her to explore and discover the world on her own terms. 

After gaining her formal training in Interior design, Garima pursued summer design course at Domus Academy in Milan & Central Saint Martins in London. 

As an Interior designer she designed a number of spaces: hotels, nightclubs, spas, restaurants and residences. 

She moved to Canada in 2013 and wanted to translate her passion for design into a product that led to the foundation of Garéma in 2015.

Garima is a travel enthusiast who has visited over 20 countries , her designs are inspired by the cultural history, arts & architecture of places she has visited.
